Dear All,
I am passing on this message on behalf of Mike Zody and members of the working group who have been discussing long read sequencing opportunities. As a follow up to our discussions from the last two CCG meetings, we would like to hear from people about their experiences with and thinking about long read and long range technologies including nanopore, PacBio, and 10X, but also non-sequencing long range techniques like optical mapping [e.g. BioNano] and Hi-C [e.g., Dovetail]. Could you please let us know whether you or your colleagues
1. have any current projects using any of these technologies. Would you be willing to discuss at future meetings?
2. have specific projects you would like to do that could be done with NYGC if we had the resources
3. have bigger picture questions about cancer biology that could be addressed with these technologies, but you don’t know exactly which technologies or whether current technologies are suited to addressing your questions
Many thanks,
Simon
